2005-2020年中国西北干旱区典型生态系统土壤有机碳密度数据集

土壤有机碳密度（SOCD）是指单位面积一定深度的土层中土壤有机碳的储量，是估算和评价土壤有机碳储量的重要的指标。因此，在收集中国生态系统研究网络（CERN）位于中国西北干旱区的农田、荒漠、草地生态系统野外科学观测研究站（包括阿克苏站、安塞站、长武站、内蒙古站、海北站、阜康站、奈曼站、鄂尔多斯站、临泽站、策勒站、沙坡头站等11个站点）2005–2020年土壤长期观测数据的基础上，采用有机碳估算模型计算SOCD，生成了2005–2020中国西北干旱区典型生态系统SOCD数据集，以期为中国西北干旱区土壤碳储量估算和碳循环过程研究提供有价值的实测数据。
该数据集涵盖了11个站点2005-2020年各类长期观测样地的表层（0~20 cm）和剖面分层土壤有机碳密度数据，包括3个数据文件，分别存放表层土壤有机碳密度数据、剖面土壤有机碳密度数据和样地信息，其中：（1）表层土壤有机碳密度.xlsx共有721条记录；（2）剖面土壤有机碳密度.xlsx共有1063条记录；（3）样地信息.xlsx共有59条记录。

Soil Organic Carbon Density (SOCD) refers to the stock of soil organic carbon in a soil layer of specified depth per unit area, and is a critical indicator for estimating and evaluating soil organic carbon stocks. Therefore, based on long-term soil observation data from 2005 to 2020 collected at the field scientific observation and research stations of the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN) in farmland, desert and grassland ecosystems in the arid region of northwest China, including 11 stations such as Akesu Station, Ansai Station, Changwu Station, Inner Mongolia Station, Haibei Station, Fukang Station, Naiman Station, Ordos Station, Linze Station, Cele Station and Shapotou Station, we adopted an organic carbon estimation model to calculate SOCD and generated the 2005–2020 SOCD Dataset for Typical Ecosystems in the Arid Region of Northwest China, aiming to provide valuable measured data for soil organic carbon stock estimation and carbon cycle process research in the arid region of northwest China. This dataset covers surface layer (0–20 cm) and stratified profile soil organic carbon density data from various long-term observation plots at the 11 stations from 2005 to 2020, and includes three data files that respectively store surface soil organic carbon density data, profile soil organic carbon density data and plot information.
