Previously, we developed a new model of diabetes-induced wound healing impairment in skin-humanized mice models that faithfully recapitulates the major histo-physiological features of such skin repair-deficient condition. Aiming to dissect the molecular mechanisms responsible for the delayed wound closure, global gene expression studies were performed. 2mm biopsies of 7 control mice and 6 diabetes-induced humanized skin mice (samples at 0h) and 6mm biopsies of the same samples taken by repunching around the wound edge at 24h
