Data for: Rising risk of longer-lasting, farther-faster-spreading ozone pollution across China
收藏资源简介:
Spatiotemporally contiguous ozone pollution events (SCOPEs), characterized by persistent and large-scale regional ozone pollution, threaten human health and ecosystems. These events evolve across both space and time, characterizing a spatio-temporal contiguous spread pattern that has not been fully understood. Here, we develop an objective framework to quantitatively detect and track SCOPEs, and examine their spread patterns (i.e., spread direction, distance and speed) centered at their outbreak points toward four cardinal directions, namely Northeast (NE), Northwest (NW), Southwest (SW), and Southeast (SE). Our findings reveal an escalating regional pollution challenge and provide a quantitative foundation for transboundary ozone management strategies. The detected SCOPEs are saved as the NETCDF format. More detailed information related to the uploaded data and code can be found in “README.pdf”.
