To perform an in vitro homology search of gene profiles of eyes across molluscan species, we generated a new 60mer oligonucleotide library based on the expressed gene sequences of the eye of octopus, squids, Nautilus and Pecten and obtained the gene expression profiles of three molluscan species based on the cross hybridization signals.
