This register records details of land acquired by the Shire. Information recorded includes land title details, how the land was acquired and the location of the land.Information is recorded according to the Parish where the land was situated and then chronologically by date of acquisition, except for Leongatha. Entries for Leongatha are recorded in a separate section of the register. There is a sequential numbering system for each transaction within each Parish.
