The viral metagenome was obtained from viruses purified directly from Labidocera aestiva copepod tissue from Tampa Bay, FL on April 2009. The clone library was constructed from viral DNA amplified by MDA, followed by linker-amplification with the GenomePlex Whole Genome Amplification kit (Sigma-Aldrich, St. Louis, MO). Sequence reads are from Sanger sequencing of the clone library.
