The test backdrop was developed by evaluating national technical data and represents the search space for biotopes to be mapped. Certain areas were excluded from the outset (e.g. settlement areas). The areas shown here cover all surface areas mapped in 2014 to 2020. The mapping results are presented in a separate total data set as recorded value biotopes (= legally protected biotopes and/or FFH habitat tyes) and non-value biotopes (= only biotope type without protection status).
