Impact of Borrelia burgdorferi infection and doxycycline treatment on macaque immune response and gut microbiome - Bulk RNA seq

Japanese macaques were injected with 10^4 spirochetes or saline. We longitudinally collected skin biopsies and ran Bulk RNA sequencing to monitor the local immune response in the skin. Our experimental groups (infected only and saline injection) allow us to investigate how macaques respond to needle puncture and Borrelia infection in the skin.
