LiDAR Survey for the Herbert River Catchment and surrounds 2025: CSIRO Tidal Inundation project

This dataset consists of a LiDAR survey commissioned to support tidal inundation modelling work in the vicinity of Cassady and Palm Creeks, Hinchinbrook region, QLD, for the CSIRO Tidal Inundation Project, 2024-25. The dataset spans from the Seymour River in the north to Halifax Bay Wetlands in the south, and covers approximately 493 sqkm of coastal terrain.\nLineage: The dataset consists of LAZ format point cloud information derived from a VQ780ii-H40 plane-borne sensor. Survey was undertaken at a flying height of 550m, with estimated spatial accuracies of 0.2m horizontal and 0.1m vertical. Aerial capture was undertaken during times of low water, to maximise the portion of intertidal land mass captured. Survey data has been registered to the local MGA zone and AHD vertical datum through in-situ ground control points. Supplied with the LiDAR data was a set of Digital Elevation Models and Canopy Height Models at 1m spatial resolution.
