Emissions trends 1990-2009

In the report ‘Emission trends 1990-2009’, the Federal Environment Agency provides an overview of anthropogenic air pollutants in Austria: • Staub – Gesamtschwebestaub (TSP), Feinstaub (PM10 und PM2,5) • Ozonvorläufersubstanzen – Stickoxide (NOx), flüchtige Kohlenwasserstoffe ohne Methan (NMVOC), Kohlenmonoxid (CO) • Versauernd und eutrophierend wirkende Luftschadstoffe – Schwefeldioxid (SO2), Ammoniak (NH3), Stickoxide (NOx) • Schwermetalle – Kadmium (Cd), Quecksilber (Hg), Blei (Pb) • Persistente Organische Verbindungen (POPs) • Treibhausgase – Kohlendioxid (CO2), Methan (CH4), Lachgas (N2O), Fluorierte Gase Die Hauptverursacher werden analysiert und aktuelle Emissionsdaten verpflichtenden Umweltzielen gegenübergestellt. The data are based on the results of the Austrian Air Pollution Inventory, which is compiled annually by the Federal Environment Agency.
