Tattvasaṅgrahapañjikā chapter 17 (pratyakṣalakṣaṇaparīkṣā): TEI-Encoded Reference Dataset

A TEI/XML encoding of the 17th chapter (pratyakṣalakṣaṇaparīkṣā) of Kamalaśīla's Tattvasaṅgrahapañjikā, covering kārikās 1212–1360. The text is reconstituted from the two published editions (Shastri 1968; Krishnamacharya 1926); 64 app elements record variant readings between the two editions, and manuscript readings from the Jaisalmer and Pāṭaṇ codices are included in exceptional cases. The encoding annotates the chapter's debate structure (9 vāda sections with pūrvapakṣa/uttarapakṣa divisions across 4 philosophical topics), 74 instances of text reuse (q elements), and 122 referring strings (rs elements) for persons, groups, and works, including pronominal substitutes. The header registers 17 scholars, 12 philosophical schools, and 16 source texts and manuscript witnesses, linked by commentary, teacher–student, and school-membership relations. This record contains the TEI XML file together with the project-specific ODD schema and its generated DTD.
