资源简介:
Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of deep sea water (DSW) containing minerals on intestinal health, using a cell model and dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced enteritis animal model. Methods: In vivo, the role of DSW was determined in DSS-induced colitis mouse model. Results: In comparison to the DSS group, colon shortening was inhibited, and disease activity and colon injury were suppressed in DSW-treated mice. RNA isolated from colonic tissues of mice in the control and experimental groups was subjected to RNA-seq. Gene expression of inflammatory genes was similar among control and HMLS mice. In the HMLS group, inflammatory pathways were suppressed through reductions in the expression of genes such as TNF-a, Nos2, and inflammatory chemokines. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that DSW intake can help to colitis, and the effects may be partially regulated by magnesium and other minerals. Intestinal colitis was induced for one week with DSS from 8-weeks old mice that has consumed deep sea water for three weeks. This is the RNA-seq data shown by intestinal tissue using Illumina 6000.
