NRS-4839 | Expenditure cash sheets

Each typed sheet is individually numbered and dated and gives the following information: account number, claimant, appropriation or account subdivided into fund, item and account amount, voucher, cheque, cheque number and remarks (or memoranda). Daily totals are also given for the amount spent from specific accounts or funds, for example Consolidated Revenue Account, Public Works Fund and General Loan Account. Early volumes have the entries on the page subdivided into specific headings (institutions or activities) such as Institutions for the Care of Indigents, Baby Health Centres, Scientific Activities and Other Medical Services and Eleemosynary Activities. With the exception of subheadings re Salaries and Allowances this practice stops c.1934. Most volumes in addition have bi-yearly lists of unpresented cheques and expenditure lists such as "Rental of Baby Health Centres" and quarterly "Schedules of payments in respect of Notification of Proclaimed Infectious and Other Diseases".
