Burnout among Ukrainian academic staff during wartime

This dataset and accompanying manuscript present the findings of a cross-sectional study examining burnout levels among Ukrainian academic staff during the full-scale war. Data were collected via an online survey from December 2023 to February 2024 and include responses from 429 academic staff members across displaced and non-displaced Ukrainian universities. Burnout was measured using the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS), and institutional support was assessed via custom indicators. This research contributes to the understanding of academic resilience in war-affected contexts and highlights the need for culturally responsive and credible institutional support mechanisms. The dataset can be used to inform further research on mental health in higher education during crises.
