Genetic Model for Oral Cancer

Dr. Ravindra Uppaluri, a head and neck surgeon at Washington University, has developed a cell line model of mouse oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC) for genetic research. Using these tumors and microarry, his lab identified a molecular signature of metastasis that correlates well with human tumors displaying metastasis. This project contains the exome sequence from those cell lines: 3 indolent tumors and 2 aggressive tumors. This is one of several projects at The Genome Institute to characterize mouse models of human cancer.
