Dataset accompanying manuscript "On the variability of phytoplankton photophysiology over a latitudinal transect in the North Atlantic surface ocean" (Aardema et al., submitted to JGR: Biogeosiences, 2024). The methods to collect this dataset are described in the paper mentioned above, please refer to this paper when using this dataset. In case further data or information regarding the dataset is needed, please contact the corresponding authors. Each file contains a tab-separated table, preceded by a header describing the individual columns. Underway data on phytoplankton photophysiology along a latitudinal transect from the polar circle to the equator in the eastern North Atlantic sailed by the S/Y Eugen Seibold. Datasets include parameters from Fast Repetition Rate fluorometry (FRRf) and Flow Cytometry (FCM) with nearest matched environmental parameters in the surface ocean (all sampled from 3 m water depth).
