A nationwide price survey of the cost of one serving of parent-child donburi (takeout) was conducted, resulting in an average price of 703 yen in December 2016. Over the period from January 2015 to December 2016 (the past 24 months), the month with the highest price for parent-child donburi (takeout) in supermarkets across the nation was December 2016 at 703 yen, while the month with the lowest price was February 2015 at 693 yen. The price difference between the peak price period (December 2016) and the lowest price period (February 2015) for parent-child donburi (takeout) across all regions was 10.2345 yen.
