The Krems Embayment represents the westernmost fully marine depositional environments of the Karpatian and Badenian transgressions in the Central Paratetys. Four deep drill cores were investigated to analyse the bio- and lithostratigraphic, and tectonic relations. The investigated core sections cover the Karpatian Laa Formation and the Badenian Grund Formation. This dataset contains sedimentological data of drill core NÖ-06. This includes dry weight, content of sand, and content of clay and silt as well as a detailed core description (Figure SF3).
