A bandsaw that is significantly improved over existing art. The invention is designed such that the bandsaw can be operated safely with the highest possible efficiency， ensuring the least wheel and blade vibration and flutter， providing for the best possible cutting accuracy while reducing component fatigue and wear， thus increasing the life of the bandsaw. The bandsaw is designed to minimise particulate contamination and make it easier to clean. Control panels and safety mechanisms are contained within sealed surfaces to minimise contamination or damage from water ingress during cleaning， while maintaining a sufficient air gap to prevent overheating.
