SCALE-IPF (Severity Classification and Lung Evaluation for Prognosis in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis)

The SCALE-IPF (Severity Classification and Lung Evaluation for Prognosis in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis) model was developed within the Assiut University IPF Research Program (2022 – 2026) as a validated multidomain framework for assessing disease severity and prognosis in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).It integrates clinical, physiological, and imaging domains into a unified scoring system that enables accurate stratification of mild, moderate, and severe disease and predicts one-year clinical outcomes.SCALE-IPF represents the first tool designed specifically to align risk classification with prognostic modeling across both acute-exacerbation and stable IPF cohorts. © 2025 Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University — Assiut, Egypt.All rights reserved under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License.Official disclosure for DOI registration through Zenodo.
