IR Spectra of Adhesives and Backings of Electrical Tapes

The dataset comprises infrared (IR) spectra of both adhesive and backing sides of electrical tapes collected from 25 different manufacturers available in the Indian market. It includes raw spectral data (4000–400 cm⁻¹), trimmed spectra (with noise and carbon dioxide regions removed), processed spectra, and the corresponding principal component (PC) data. The computation of principal components was performed using Unscrambler X software to facilitate chemometric and multivariate statistical analyses. This dataset provides a valuable reference resource for forensic, industrial, and material characterization studies involving pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes.
