MicroRNA profile of strobilated worms of Echinococcus granulosus derived from the in vivo and in vitro system by using high-throughput approaches

In the present study, a global miRNA pro?ling is performed by using NGS in order to understand the role of miRNAs in the developmental and metabolic processes of E. granulosus. We compared the miRNA transcriptome of the strobilated worms derived from experimental infection in the definitive host with those collected from the di-phasic culture system after 60-day protoscoleces cultivation. The findings increase our knowledge about molecular pathways involved in E. granulosus development.
