Comparison and phylogenomics of floral transcriptomes of European sexually deceptive and rewarding orchids

This study presents several novel floral transcriptomes of European sexually deceptive and rewarding orchids, Ophrys and Gymnadenia (Orchidoideae). It provides new sequencing resources of a comparatively still poorly sampled group to the orchid community. In addition, this study addresses questions about controversial phylogenetic relationships within the genera by using orthologous genes in a genome-wide approach for phylogenetic analysis
