To study the effects of fetal brain exposure to methamphetamine, embryonic stem cell-derived cerebral organoids were treated with methamphetamine and cell type-specific gene expression was analysed using scRNA-seq. Overall design: 8 cerebral organoids were mock treated and 6 cerebral organoids were treated with 5uM methamphetamine for 7 days before being enzymatically dissociated and analyzed by scRNA-seq using the 10x Genomics platform.
