Alcohol Use Disorders in Individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder: Systematic Review, Meta-Analysis, and Meta-Regression.

Description of the Dataset: This dataset supports a meta-analysis and meta-regression focused on the prevalence and comorbidity of Alcohol Dependence, Alcohol Abuse, and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) across different populations and regions. The analysis integrates data from multiple studies to explore patterns and relationships in these disorders. Content: The dataset includes information from studies on Alcohol Dependence, Abuse, and AUD, with variables such as: Author and Year; Dependence, Alcohol Abuse, and AUD (Prevalence data for each of these disorders in the included studies); Sample Characteristics; Geographic Distribution and Assessment Criteria. Methodology: The meta-analysis uses data from 15 studies, integrating results from both clinical and community samples, covering different continents including the America and Europe. Diagnostic criteria are based on widely accepted measures such as DSM-IV, ICD-10, and AUDIT. Meta-regression techniques were employed to examine the relationship between sample characteristics (e.g., age, gender distribution) and the prevalence of alcohol-related disorders. Reproducibility: The dataset includes the prevalence data used for the meta-analysis (meta-análise.TPB.xlsx). Users are encouraged to replicate the analyses by following the methodology provided.
