资源简介:
We release two datasets that track the enhanced debris flow disaster induced by the Mw 7.9 2008 Wenchuan earthquake over a portion of the Longmen mountains, at the eastern margin of the Tibetan plateau (Sichuan, China). The first dataset records the debris flows that occurred from 2008 to 2020 (over a larger area of 892 km2), together with their triggering rainfalls recorded by a network of rain gauges, covers 1566 km2 in the epicentral area. The second dataset is a list of debris flow mitigation measures covering 2008 to 2020. It includes the catchment name of the construction measures, dam number, construction time, and coordinates. The two datasets can be used to analyze the fragment flow mode and the characteristics of the debris flow after the earthquake, as well as the effect evaluation of mitigation measures of debris flow. To our knowledge, no other dataset that tracks the debris flow and mitigation measures of earthquake-induced mass wasting have been made freely available thus far. Our datasets are available at https:// 10.5281/zenodo.6355211. We also encourage other researchers to share their datasets with a wide range use of researchers to promote the study of geological disasters after the Wenchuan earthquakes.
