Construction of a Dataset for Knowledge Atlas of Cotton Diseases and Pests

Cotton is one of China's important economic crops and is also one of the world's most significant textile raw materials. During the process of cotton cultivation, various types of cotton diseases and pests have a significant impact on cotton yield. Constructing a knowledge graph of cotton diseases and pests involves organizing data such as the names, symptoms, and prevention methods of cotton diseases and pests into a structured format, stored in a graph-like representation. This is of great significance for the precise and rapid control of cotton diseases and pests. To build the cotton disease and pest knowledge graph dataset, data was collected from various sources including books and websites related to cotton disease and pest prevention using OCR technology and Python web scraping. The collected data was then cleaned and merged, resulting in a dataset that includes information on 30 common cotton diseases and 49 cotton pests. This dataset can be used to create a knowledge graph of cotton diseases and pests, providing valuable data support for the informatization and intelligent development of China's cotton cultivation industry.
