ALDOA functions as a regulatory factor maintaining the homeostasis of protein pan-lactylation modifications. In the presence of ALDOA, L-lactic acid concentrations increase within a defined range without significantly altering the overall level of protein pan-lactylation. However, exceeding this threshold leads to a pronounced enhancement in protein pan-lactylation capacity. To elucidate the role of L-lactic acid treatment in Alzheimer's disease (AD), we conducted RNA-seq analysis to assess gene expression levels in N2a-APP695sw cells under control conditions or ALDOA overexpression, both treated with L-lactic acid.
