Dual gene editing for on-target and off-target deep-sequencing of Hu sheep

To enhance the phenotypic attributes related to meat quality in livestock, we engineered peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma knock-in (PPARG-KI) mice, in conjunction with myostatin knockout (MSTN-KO) dual gene-modified lake sheep, utilizing these species as experimental models. Comprehensive deep sequencing was conducted on the PPARG and MSTN genomic loci subjected to gene editing, and we also evaluated potential off-target regions within the lake sheep genome.
