The primary objective of this study was to investigate the effects of transport duration on diarrhea, respiratory disease, and growth in young surplus dairy calves following 6, 12, and 16 h of continuous road transport from source dairy farms to a single commercial veal facility. The secondary objective was to explore how variables such as breed, sex, transfer of passive immunity status, weight before transport, and age at transport influence calf health following transport.
