Data from: Mata & Davison et al. (2024) Resource partitioning in a novel large-herbivore assemblage in South America

Data associated with the paper: Mata & Davison et al. (2024) Resource partitioning in a novel large-herbivore assemblage in South America. Journal of Animal Ecology.

This dataset includes information on plant species identified using DNA metabrcoding on the faeces of several large-herivores in the Rincón del Socorro rewilding area of Iberá National Park, Corrientes, Argentina. Collected in the field during May and October 2018 from all major habitat types. This data represents the final quality-filtered data used for all analyses and visualistions.

A version of the inferred biodiversity data is available at GBIF.org (Mata et al., 2024; https://doi.org/10.15468/yz5jxu) – this version includes all detections passing the bioinformatic quality filtering incl. non-plant, low specificity, low read-abundance detections, and species outside of their known range.
