The transcriptome profile analysis in testis of C. punctatus in the current study, for the first time in fishes, presents a comprehensive picture of genes expressed differentially depending on specific spermatogenic events along the testicular cycle.Our findings may also provide a valuable genomic resource for discovery of novel testicular genes related to seasonal reproduction.
