Wet friction material with paper for vehicles， comprising: a die containing hardwood pulp in an amount of about 40 to 50 percent by weight; a spherical silica in an amount of about 16 to 21 weight percent; a friction modifier in an amount of about 5 weight percent or less but more than 0 weight percent; and a filler material， which forms the remainder for balancing the wet friction material with paper， the% by weight in each case being based on the total weight of the wet friction material with paper， wherein particles of the spherical silica are arranged in parallel on the surface of the die.
