Replication files for settlement reclassification and urban measurement in Uzbekistan

This record contains anonymized replication files for a study of administrative reclassification and urban measurement in Uzbekistan. The package includes the parsed roster of 965 settlements, a public-geocoding crosswalk, settlement-level analytical panels, 2005–2020 morphology transitions, geographic matching inputs, population-free baseline built-up measures, district-level change data, statistical scripts, and machine-readable results.The files reproduce the reported numerical analyses of baseline settlement morphology, long-run endpoint changes, matched descriptive comparisons, robustness checks, and district-level enterprise-share associations. The archive does not contain manuscript files, formatted tables, figure-generation code, document-generation code, raw global raster products, personal data, or author-identifying information.All settlement comparisons are descriptive. The rural geographic matches do not constitute a statutory untreated group. Original third-party data products remain subject to their respective source terms. The authors’ original compilation, statistical scripts, and derived result files are released under CC BY 4.0.
