Marine data sampler, bathymetry data: MRJ Inc.

The catalogue is a comprehensive source of information on digital elevation data and should be retrieved in its entirety for additional information. MRJ Inc. sell a variety of marine data. This includes a Marine Data Sampler which covers all the oceans. Two areas are presented in more detail; the outer banks of North Carolina and Monterey Canyon off California. The sampler comes in Arc/Info format on UNIX or DOS format CD-ROMs. MRJ can provide customized marine data including bathymetry, ocean chemistry and climatological data. These data generally originate from government agencies. The resolution of bathymetry varies depending on geographic region. Global data are provided as points or 5-minute grids. MRJ can provide 15-second grid bathymetry for the US continental shelf. Sounding information is also available for many US coastal areas. Data are supplied on 1/2" tape and floppy disks.
