To gain an insight into the diet of cuckoo and warbler nestlings, metabarcoding analysis was applied using faecal metagenomic DNA samples. Previously published universal cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) primers targeting a broad range of invertebrate taxa (Elbrecht and Leese 2017) were employed for this purpose.
