GIS-based spatiotemporal analysis to mitigate wild-life vehicle collisions in fragmented landscapes
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains raster and shapefiles representing the spatial distribution of wild boar (Sus scrofa) collisions from 2015 to 2020 in the Avellino Province (southern Italy), along with specific landscape features associated with these accidents. The data were produced as part of a study focusing on a GIS-based spatiotemporal analysis to mitigate wildlife-vehicle collisions in fragmented landscapes. Methodology The dataset was generated using an interdisciplinary modeling approach that integrates: Spatiotemporal Analysis: Collision data were analyzed using Kernel Density Estimation (KDE) to identify and statistically validate critical hotspots. Landscape Metrics Analysis: Performed via FRAGSTATS to correlate habitat fragmentation and connectivity with accident frequency. Multi-Layered Spatial Correlation: Georeferenced data were integrated and correlated with Natura 2000 sites, hydrographic networks, and human density indices. Data Content Format: GeoTIFF (.tif), shapefile (.shp - Point, Polygon, Polyline) Spatial Resolution: 20 m Coordinate Reference System (CRS): EPSG:32633 (WGS 84 / UTM zone 33N) Temporal Coverage: 2015–2020 Study Area: Avellino Province, Campania region, southern Italy
