资源简介:
Alcohol is among the most widely consumed dietary substances. While excessive alcohol consumption damages the liver, heart and brain, clinical observations also suggest that alcohol has strong immunoregulatory properties. However, little is known about the mechanistic effects of alcohol on the immune system. In this context, we investigated the effect of acetate, the metabolite of alcohol, on primary mouse T cells, unspecifically activated with dynabeads. Naive CD4+ T cells were treated with 2 mM sodium acetate or vehicle (R10 medium) containing R10 medium for 4 hours. RNA was isolated using the RNeasy micro kit (Qiagen) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
