PPP Projects, Governance Modes, Capital Structure and Relevant Factors

This dataset comprises a set of comprehensive and improved measures to examine various characteristics of public-private partnership (PPP) infrastructure projects. The dataset integrates project-level information from the World Bank’s Private Participation in Infrastructure database with country-level macroeconomic, financial, institutional, governance indicators from multiple internationally reputed sources. The unit of observation is a PPP project, allowing the analysis of how macroeconomic conditions, financial market’s development and structure, institutional quality, and project-specific characteristics influence PPP modes leverage and financing structure in infrastructure projects. The dataset includes detailed measures of government support capital structure composition, macroeconomic fundamentals, capital market depth, sovereign risk, governance quality, conflict exposure, and financial development indicators, in addition to novel variables such as sectoral risk derived from global financial markets.
