Data from Monte Carlo simulations are provided as .csv files, and have been derived from sets of 100,000, sometimes 1,000,000 spin micro-states which are not provided here. They are available upon request to the authors. The Monte Carlo data include thermodynamic quantities (specific heat, entropy) and spin-spin correlators up to the fifth neighbor shell, all as function of reduced temperature. The Monte Carlo data also include two-dimensional maps of the magnetic structure factor. The data have been computed with different kinds of boundary conditions (open boudary OBC, periodic boundary PBC), and for two kinds of spin lattices (hexagon-shape with 7 spins per edge, i.e. 127 spins in total, and rhombus-shape with 11 spins per edge). The names of the corresponding .csv files use these notations (“OBC", “PBC", “hexagon", “rhombus") and are therefore self-explanatory. The Monte Carlo data finally include a selected spin micro-state computed at 0.1 reduced temperature. The experimental data are collections of spin micro-states, each stored in a single .csv file as a sequences of 127 +1/-1 spins (each column corresponding to a given spin micro-state), and acquired in OBC and different kinds of PBC, corresponding to (0,0) winding numbers with perfect edge spin alternation (“00alternated”) or without it (“00noorder”), and to the (4,4) winding numbers (“44”).
