nifH sequences from microbial communities of switchgrass rhizosphere. GLBRC_nifH_rhizosphere

In this study we examined N2-fixing bacterial communities in the rhizosphere of switchgrass. Samples were taken at two different experimental schemes in both Michigan ans Wisconsin, USA. The experimental schemes were called intensive - side-by-side plots where plant communities were in their second year since establishment, and extensive - regionally distributed fields where plant communities had been in place for at least 10 years. The primers were based on those of Poly et al. (2001), which target an approximately 320 bp region of the nifH gene.
