Epigallocatechin Gallate modulates microglia phenotype

We have identified Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) as a potent modulator of microglia function. Our aim was to determine whether EGCG affects the transcriptome of microglia and identify genes and gene sets that may underly the effects of EGCG on microglia function. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for primary murine (CD1) microglia treated with 1uM EGCG or equivalent DMSO control for 24 hours in serum free media. 2 indendent biological replicates were included for both treatment conditions.
