资源简介:
We performed small RNA sequencing (TruSeq) of gene expression on bronchial cells from human bronchial epithelial brushings from 16 independent subjects whose samples were classified as either healthy controls (with no asthma or lung disease) or steroid-naive asthmatics (subjects with asthma not using inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) for 6 weeks before enrollment that were studied at baseline ('Steroid-naive asthma - Baseline') or after 8 weeks of treatment with budesonide, 200 μg twice a day, ('Steroid-naive asthma - Post-ICS treatment')). The goal was to assess abundance of miRNAs in all the samples collectively. Small RNA sequencing (TruSeq) was performed on a total of 20 samples of epithelial brushings from subjects (n=16); healthy controls (n=7), 2 subjects of which had a repeated sample, and from steroid-naive asthmatic subjects (n=9), all of which have baseline samples before the initiation of 8 weeks of treatment using inhaled budesonide (200 micrograms twice per day) included while 2 of those 9 subjects have additional samples included after the budesonide treatment. The goal was to assess abundance of various miRNAs in all the samples collectively.
