The A*3D Dataset was developed by the Singapore University of Technology and Design, focusing on applications of autonomous driving in complex environments. This dataset contains 39,000 frames of high-density imagery and LiDAR data, covering a wide range of scenarios, temporal conditions and weather conditions, aiming to address the shortcomings of existing datasets in complex environments. The construction of the dataset involved extensive sensor data collection and precise annotation, making it suitable for computer vision tasks such as 3D object detection. The A*3D Dataset is primarily targeted at improving the safety and adaptability of autonomous driving systems, particularly their performance under nighttime and complex traffic conditions.
