The aim of this investigation is identification of centromeric DNA sequences of sunflower by ChIP-Seq using an anti-HaCENH3 (a centromere specific histone H3 variant) antibody. The input fraction contains DNA from micrococcal nuclease digested sunflower nucleosomes, and that was used for the ChIP-Seq. The ChIP fraction contains DNA that precipitated by a ChIP using the anti-HaCENH3 antibody. Sequencing was conducted by using MiSeq (Illumina) with Pair-end 2x300 bp protocol.
