Digital Archive from a Desk Based Assessment and Site Visit of Sheet Road, Ludlow, Shropshire, August 2023

This collection consists of site images, documents, and GIS data from a desk-based assessment and site visit at Sheet Road, Ludlow, Shropshire. The works were conducted by Archaeology England in August 2023 to assess the impact on the historic environment of the proposed development of land for retail use and associated parking. The assessment found no designated heritage assets would be impacted directly by the proposed development. There are two archaeological sites listed on the Shropshire Historic Environment Record within, partially within or adjacent to the bounds of the proposed development site.The site is assessed to have a medium potential for Iron Age, Roman, and medieval remains.
