Euphorbia lathyris Transcriptome or Gene expression

The project is about the characterization of the triterpene biosynthetic machinery in the latex of Euphorbia lathyris. The transcriptome analysis of this specialized cell-type revealed a complete isoprenoid pathway in full agreement with previous data on the bioconversion of acetate or mevalonate into triterpenes by latex fractions (Ponsinet and Ourisson, 1968).
