资源简介:
DNA sequencing data of the Berlin Fat Mouse Inbred (BFMI) mouse, a mouse model for polygenic obesity. The inbred BFMI strains generated from the BFM outbred population, develops obesity under a standard maintenance diet at juvenile age of 6 weeks. Besides high total body fat content of ~25% in male mice, the mice show reduced insulin sensitivity and elevated serum triglyceride levels at 10 weeks. The impaired insulin sensitivity of BFMI mice is accompanied by high insulin-like growth factor-1 serum levels, which likely compensate for the low insulin sensitivity and contribute to normal glucose homeostasis.
