• Comparative Analysis of patient satisfaction Between Medical and Surgical Wards at tertiary care hospital Swat, Pakistan

Medical ward is a hospital ward in which patients are being treated by drugs rather than surgery and having a medical condition like COPD, Renal Diseases, Heart Diseases, Fever with unknown origin, and Infectious Diseases etc. Surgical ward is a hospital ward where patients are admitted for surgical procedures and examining the patient before and after the surgical procedures. e.g. A patient having laparotomy should be admitted to the surgical ward before the procedure for examination and remain in the ward after the procedure take place. Patient satisfaction means that is the patient satisfied from the care delivered by the health care provider. Comparing patient satisfaction between Medical and Surgical wards at tertiary care hospital, Swat Pakistan are essential to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement in patient management and care delivery system. The following are some of the concept which we review in other articles. Access to quality nursing care is an essential human right and is considered a significant factor in patients' well‐being (Fuseini et al., 2022)1. Delivering nursing care that satisfies quality standards is crucial for providing patients with high‐quality care (Karaca & Durna, 2019)2. The quality of nursing care can be measured by assessing patients' level of satisfaction (Gishu et al., 2019)3, and patient satisfaction can be increased through proper nursing care (Aiken et al., 2021)4. Measuring patients' satisfaction helps in gaining important information regarding hospitals' performance as well as assessing the quality management of health organizations (Hepsiba & Bhattacharjee, 2021)5. Patients' satisfaction with their care can lead to patient loyalty and trust (Liu et al., 2021)6: satisfied patients are loyal and more inclined to return to the same hospital or health care provider in the future and may suggest them to other relatives and friends (Setyawan et al., 2020)7.
