Administrative areas 1:25 000 — as at 31.12.

The database comprises the administrative units of the hierarchical administrative levels from the state to the municipalities in the Federal Republic of Germany with their administrative boundaries, statistical key figures, the name of the administrative unit and the specific description of the administrative level of the respective federal state. The initial production was carried out by analog and digital output data of the national surveying facilities. The basic DLM serves as the basis for the geometry. The continuation of the data is carried out by a new production document including the municipal registers and registration templates of the statistical state offices, the Federal Statistical Office and the Land Survey Offices in an annual cycle. In terms of accuracy and resolution, the geometry of the boundary is aligned to the baseDLM in a scale of 1:25 000. The product is only available to the federal government. The data set is available in the two specifications Compact and Layers.
